28th Dance Week · Joensuu · North Karelia · Finland

Welcome to Joensuu Dance Week

22–28 June 2026

A warm-hearted week of dancing by the Pielisjoki river in Joensuu, North Karelia, Finland.

A week of dance in the heart of North Karelia

Joensuu Dance Week is a cheerful, warm-hearted dance event where the Karelian spirit and dance come together. Alongside the fun we learn new dances, figures and technique – and make new dance friends, many of whom return year after year from all over Finland.

What's on

Dance instructor training 22–24 June – social-dance instructor courses, organised together with the Kansanopisto Step training programme.

Midnight Sun Dance Camp 25–28 June – dances for every taste and skill level: tango, salsa, bachata, swing, Finnish social dances and more. Join for the days you like, or just for a single class.

Tango camps 27–28 June – the week closes with the Argentine tango and Wanha tango camps and the Wanha tango world championship.

Everyone is welcome

Dance Week welcomes dancers of every level, so you can join even if you are only taking your first steps. Everyone took their first dance steps once – and our teachers are there for exactly you.
